Why do we need to argue, when we all know that Lagos state has 5 main divisions-Badagry, Epe, Ikorodu,Ikeja, and Lagos...

According to The chief Executive at Timsott Ventures MR.  ROY GOGAN.

In as much as I do not want to comment on this unnecessary argument over superiority, as I think this forum should be a good platform in exchanging ideas and building initiatives and blocks to move Badagry division forward, I felt obliged to ask everyone to please cool off tension. Why do we need to argue, when we all know that Lagos state has 5 main divisions-Badagry, Epe, Ikorodu,Ikeja, and Lagos. LCDAs were created for ease

of administrative purposes and for political exigencies, but have not erased the 5 pillars that made up the state earlier mentioned here.We started with Egun /Awori district council which transformed to Badagry local government encompassing Ajara, ibereko, and all other entities that made up the local government till today. Creation of LCDAs doesn't equate them or make them of the same standing with Badagry local government that is the icon of Badagry division of the state of which the Akran of Badagry has paramount recognition in his domain division of the state. Akran of Badagry shares the same status with the Oba of Ikorodu, the Oba of Epe, etc. They also have smaller communities under them like we have for exampl, ibereko within Badagry Division. We should not forget where we are coming from and that is why am just trying to remind us of our background as a Division of the state to let us know we have no basis for any reasonable arguments at all, but to focus on moving our part of the state forward in unity. We should remember that a branch will always be a branch of a big tall tree, and cannot be greater than the whole tall tree. We must respect ourselves and our leaders and encourage unity among ourselves, that is when we can move Badagry forward. God will bless us all in Jesus name.

ENOUGH IS ENOUGH OH, PLEASE STOP SAYING TRASH ABOUT MY PEOPLE....

Responded from AKINOSI OLAWALE Apex Leader at Olorunda local Council Development Area, Iworo, Badagry. Concerning the crisis going on between ONIBEREKO of IBEREKO & AKRAN of BADAGRY.

The Awori's are known to be loving and harmonious people, it is important to beware of your comment in this type of issue, we should not heat the polity but we should bring out constructive and sensible comment, mind you,  i am an Awori man those BAALES' that are causing confusion.

Because of what they need should be warned. The LCDA'S were created by state govt and all LG & LCDA has its specified jurisdiction chieftaincy matter inclusive. Itoga, Samo, Agunmo, Zunve, Iyesi, Zanmu Gomajayi, Age-mowo, Oke ogbe and others are all under the jurisdiction of olorunda LCDA according to the law guiding the creation of LCDA in Lagos state. The govt know that they are EGUN before they were carved into OLORUNDA LCDA.
Please don't run away from the truth because you want to prove champion to your people those baales and their people are ignorant of what they are doing but as an elites we should educate them rather than causing confusion with your unpalatable comments. your comment about AWORIS is a product of bad mind and igniting crisis, tension and tribal war please do not destroy the peaceful co existence between AWORI and EGUN with your sick comment. A WORD IS ENOUGH FOR A WISE.

Whenever ONIBEREKO and AKRAN OF BADAGRY will sit at Lagos state council of obas'and chiefs' to resolve their issues you will not be there to be the minutes recorder talk less of contributing. NI WONBA NI OMODE MA NDASI ORO AGBALAGBA MEJI. Stop talking rubbish about AWORI RACE AGAIN. your people are in olorunda making money to feed their family and also making progress yet you are passing unpleasant comment about aworis on facebook the forefathers of AWORIS the OBAS CHIEFS and all ORISAS OF ILE AWORI like ajagun iworo iseki imeke oduduwa ibereko asolusawo ilogbo e t c may not forgive you for this insult.

More crisis between ONIBEREKO of IBEREKO KINGDOM & AKRAN. of BADAGRY.

According to ONIBEREKO, "Besides, is it possible for anyone to be installed as Baale of a community by a traditional ruler outside his immediate local government?
Itoga is within the Olorunda Local Council Development Area, not Badagry Local Government"
“The truth is that there is a judgment against the Akran of Badagry, which prevents him from installing anyone as Baale of the community (Itoga).I have a copy of the judgment and it is even gazetted by the state government".

The traditional ruler of Itoga in Badagry area of Lagos State, Chief Suru Hoteyin Amosu, has petitioned the Lagos State office of Department of State Security Service (DSS), following alleged attempt to install a parallel monarch in his community.
In a petition, dated May 11, 2016, Chief Amosu claimed that the Onibereko of Ibereko in Olorunda LCDA, Oba Israel Ade Okoya, has been making surreptitious attempts to impose another monarch on his domain shortly after his installation by the Akran of Badagry.
The petition, tagged,” Impending breach of peace”, reads: “The Baale in-Council in the Badagry Local Government Area of Lagos State writes to draw your attention to an impending breach of public peace being orchestrated by Oba Israel Ade Okoya, the Onibereko of Ibereko, Badagry, to install yet another Baale of Toga community against the earlier approval order given by the Lagos State government through the Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy , which instructed and directed both the Badagry Local Government Chieftaincy Committee and its chairman, His Royal Majesty, De Wheno Aholu Menu Toyi, the Akran of Badagry and both had performed the traditional and constitutional installation of Chief Suru Hoteyin Amosu as de facto Baale of Toga community on Wednesday April 13, 2016.
“The entire Toga community now lives in fear and apprehension as the news of a second Baale in same community is underway by the Onibereko of Ibereko, an Awori, who (is) poised to install an Egun Baale in a 100 per cent. This unconstitutional event was initially slated for Friday May 13, 2016 at the palace of Onibereko in Ibereko, Badagry. It took a court injunction to put him to a pause, and as usual he is likely to carry out this ‘unholy’ action… which may result in a serious public turmoil consequently leading to a breach of the peace.
It added: “Sir, this piece of information is offered to furnish your good offices for your immediate action so as to forestall breakdown of law and order. We are peace-loving people”.
However, in a telephone conversation with our correspondent, Oba Okoya denied knowledge of any plan to install a Baale in Itoga.
He explained that the matter has been taken to a state High Court in Badagry, adding that the affected community is not within the jurisdiction of Akran of Badagry, as a court judgment and a gazette by the state government had stripped him of such functions.
His words:” I am not planning to install anyone as Baale of the community; it is, however, important to say that their allegation that Akran of Badagry is the consenting authority over their community is not true.
“The truth is that there is a judgment against the Akran of Badagry, which prevents him from installing anyone as Baale of the community (Itoga).I have a copy of the judgment and it is even gazetted by the state government.
“Besides, is it possible for anyone to be installed as Baale of a community by a traditional ruler outside his immediate local government? Itoga is within the Olorunda Local Council Development Area, not Badagry Local Government. So, how can those who made these allegations justify their claim when their community is not in Badagry Local Government?

The Ooni of Ife, His Imperial Majesty, Ooni Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi Ojaja II has described the ancient shrine of Olokun in Ile IFE as one of the greatest mysteries of God

Ooni Ogunwusi accompanied by his beautiful queen Yeyeluwa Wuraola Ogunwusi stated this at the just concluded annual Olokun traditional festival held at the shrine located on Olokun street, Oke-Atan area of Ile-Ife globally accepted to be the cradle of Yoruba race.
He explained Olokun as one of the 401 deities sent by Olodumare to occupy the pre-genesis esoteric world and Oduduwa’s stupendously rich wife was and still remains the goddess of the ocean that must be showcased to the world for the establishment of truth about the creation of mankind and tourist-economic potentials.
“in the beginning before the creation of man, God had sent 401 of his angels with different assignments unto the earth to form the very first society called pre-genesis world also known as IFE OODAYE.
Olokun was among the angels who are today Yoruba across the world, she was assigned to function as the goddess of the sea, she lived both spiritually and physically as a very wealthy wife of Oduduwa who was the god of prayers. God created both the heaven and the earth which included the oceans in His mysterious way, the ocean as one of His greatest mystery, which is the revelation of His spirit via “Olokun” which literarily means “the one who owns the sea” or the “goddess of the sea”.
Ooni Ogunwusi also said that God almighty left different signs in Ile-Ife to confirm our belief that the town is the source of all creation with the Olokun shrine where the mysterious Olokun well is located from where she transformed into the Oceans as one of the esoteric sings we see today that must be globally celebrated.
He identified Olokun as very beautiful, hardworking, rich, generous and famous that she was always adorned in precious stones and ornaments during her time as a physical being on earth. He cited the precious stones and ornaments still being discovered in the seas today as part of the various
ornaments she owned while physically on earth.
The event also witnessed by all the kingmakers and other Chiefs was climaxed with the special prayers offered by the Monarch and his wife by the side of the mysterious WELL for peace, and progress of Ife and the black race to the admiration thousands of people in attendance at the festival.

Anger spreads over killings by herdsmen in Enugu

For the Fear of 'Ogbunigwe', maybe President Muhammad Buhari can now TAKE ACTION.
Anger spreads over killings by herdsmen
Governor in tears
Reps, Emir of Ilorin, Bishop, others outraged!
There is anger across the country over killings by suspected Fulani herdsmen.
The latest is the Monday night attack on an Enugu community where no fewer than 48 people are believed to have been killed.
The House of Representatives has summoned the Director General of the Directorate of State Services (DSS) to appear before it over the herdsmen’s activities.
Speaker of the Anambra State House of Assembly Rita Maduagwu wept during a session on the herdsmen’s killings yesterday.Deputy Senate President Ike Ekweremadu urged President Muhammadu Buhari to take action.
Minister of Agriculture Audu Ogbeh said unless a drastic action is taken, the activities of the herdsmen could destroy the nation.
The Igbo Assembly in the North called for a check of the violence. The Movement for the Actualization of Biafra (MASSOB) issued an ultimatum to the Federal Government.
The Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Sulu Gambari, told visiting Vice President Yemi Osinbajo that a halt must be put to the activities of the herdsmen.
The Archbishop of Anglican Communion (Enugu Archdiocese) Dr. Emmanuel Chukwuma, warned that if nothing was done to check the Fulani herdsmen, he would personally ask the pro-Biafra groups to declare a war against them.
The fiery cleric, who was visibly angry over Monday’s attack on an Enugu community, said it was now clear that the Federal Government controlled security agencies deliberately engaged in selective negligence.
He called on the Federal Government to declare a state of emergency in Igboland.
The Archbishop was surprised that many hours after the attack, no arrest had been made.

It is no assumption any longer that remnants of Boko Haram have been spreading across all over Nigeria, in what appears to be herdsmen killing innocent people.

Fulani Herdsmen Attack In YorubaLand

We must prepare for Fulani Herdsmen in the the West. Strangers cannot invade our territory and hold our people captive in the name of one Nigeria.
Hausa/Fulani don't know the language of one Nigeria and that is why they see themselves as most important citizens of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

They always place other tribes behind them and that is the area we must take note to tackle the problem of Fulani Herdsmen in Yoruba Land. Arewa Consultative Forum Elders are Boko Haram people. No apology for that. If they deny it. We should ask them their role over the problem of Boko Haram Terrorist Group. Let us prepare before they catch us unaware. Please don't sleep wake up our Traditional Rulers, ring the bell on their hears everyday.
Ile yoruba o ni di rudurudu mon wa lowo oo. Please, let us not wait for any leader to speak for us. The way forward is in the hand as the voice and power to defend our territory. Ile Oodua o ni baje oo. In United We Stand.

How spiritual Rebirth As A Nation Could Spring Nigeria Economy - Otunba Gani Adams Advises Federal Government.

Economy Downturn: We Need Spiritual Rebirth As A Nation- Otunba Gani Adams

The Chief Promoter of Olokun Festival Foundation, Otunba Gani Adams, today at the annual 'Wealth Festival' held in Powerline, Agege,Lagos advised the Federal  Government to seek spiritual solution to the present economic woes.
According to Adams," Now is the time  to appreciate Aje, the deity that is in charge of fortunes and prosperity. It is apparently the most sought- after in life and God, the Supreme being has created a kind of unique spiritual affinity between man and wealth.
In the developed world, they make adequate spiritual consultations before embarking on any developmental projects. This is the truth, because they research into the spiritual realm, mainly to have a clear - cut idea of what to do, how to do it, and when to do it in the physical world. And What this means in the real sense of it is that they know for certain that they can only succeed in whatever they do by aligning  first with the spiritual world, before the physical world. That is food for thought for Nigeria and Nigerians.

It is sad that Nigeria could be in this situation, despite its huge human and natural resources that are abound all over the country. It is an Irony of fate that Nigeria's  budget keeps increasing annually, yet there is little to show for it. And the truth is: We have lost touch with the spiritual realm, we believe wrongly in the ability of our leaders.
But even at that, this is my modest proposal to the Federal government. The  global economic crisis and the eventual fall of the oil prices in the world market is a strong indication that we can not continue to be over-dependent on oil.God has really blessed us as a nation, we have to explore our tourism potentials by creating wealth, thus, using what we have to get what we want.  Now that the present situation continues to bite hard on the people, we have to look inward.
At a time like this, We need spiritual rebirth. We need spiritual transformation.

We need to align with our roots  and seek spiritual enlightenment as a nation. Let us seek the face of Eledumare and go back to our roots.Let us appreciate  our  God- given wealth and natural endowments.Let us revive our cultural heritage and tradition, Let us promote our local languages. This is our true cultural identities as a people, we can only make meaningful progress as a nation if we go back to our roots. God  has blessed us with every thing that can help us grow as a nation, but we abandoned it, we never appreciate what we have until we lose it that is the tragedy of our nation".
Speaking further, he opined that by celebrating Aje festival today,Agege community  that hosts us today will definitely experience  economic boom.Aje festival celebration will definitely, translates to economic growth and development in Agege and its environs. More importantly, as we celebrate Aje festival today,we are reclaiming our lost glory, at the same time, we are saying good bye to lack and poverty. As we celebrate wealth today, we are spiritually blessed with richness and abundance.

The Festival attracted members of Oodua People's Congress, Oodua Progressive Union, (The Yoruba Organisation for Yorubas in diaspora). It had in attendance HRM Oba Ambaliu Hakeem Agbedeyi1, the Alayoge of Orile-Agege,HRM Oba Adeyemi Akanbi, Oba Orisa  of Benin Republic, Chief T Jaji, Baale of Allen, Chief TN Bakare, Baale of Omole,Prof. Kolawole Raheem of University of Education,Ghana, Dr.  Adesanya Ahmed of the department of African Languages,Literatures and Communication Arts Lagos State University, Chief Akeem Muraina, Baale of Ifako,Prince Kunle Adeyemi,Akogun Gani Kayode Balogun,Publisher GKB News, Orile Agege Council of Chiefs and several others.

Bad eggs among the Nigeria Union of Teachers (N.U.T). here in Badagry Local Government.

Good morning our beloved readers, it has come to our notice that the teachers have some cooperatives called N.U.T and TANCOMS. Teachers join these cooperatives so that they can be rescued whenever they are in problems. But it’s really sad that the so called Cooperative management committee have been treating these people inappropriately; in sense whereby if the individuals (teachers) who pay money into the account of these cooperatives every month need the assistance of
the N.U.T or TANCOMS, there will be nowhere to be find. So due to this reason, they have tended to continually loosing members. Now, more than half of its members (teachers and workers) have been demanding to get back the money they have contributed to these cooperatives but nothing has been done in terns of refund. Looking from the aspect of TANCOMS, an incident happened concerning a man called Stevin, Stevin is one of the TANCOMS members and he has been sick for a while now, due to his illness, Stevin has been pleading to get back some of his money even if it is not everything but they would not answer nor respond till date. Furthermore, we have some women who have been asking for refund as well but Mr Jihumeto Whenayon the president of the TANCOMS have been posting them and even refused to pick there calls just because they want the money they contributed into the account of this cooperative. Same thing goes to Mr. Todowede James; Mr. Todowede James almost beat up a woman just because she asked for her money back. A meeting was held on Tuesday and they specifically promised some people refund as of 23/03/2016 and today 24/03/2016 but nothing has been done to fulfil these promises but rather, they have been insulting these individuals via phone. Back to N.U.T cooperative, it is so sad that the bad eggs among N.U.T are so much to the essence whereby Mr. Honawon Oluwasina Amos specifically placed his finger on an elderly woman’s noise just because she is asking for her part money she contributed. Even to the essence whereby Mr. Hedonukun James also embezzled lot of money from the cooperative and nothing has been done concerning it till date. Please if you are a close friend or family to these individuals with wrong doings, kindly tell them to pay back every members money. Likewise, we have already sent a letter to the ministry of education both in state and in federal. We ‘d like Mr. Jihumeto Whenayon to get these financial problems fixed before he leaves his post as the president in September. Kudos to Todowede Hoteyin Abel when he was the president. N.U.T
