MIYISE FASINU & SATO DRUM...

According to Miyise Richard Surulere FasinuProject Manager/Architect at archiepiscopal design and a native of badagry.

"Sato Drum!!
The symbolic drum of Badagry!
The historic town of Badagry!!

Can a drum beat itself??No!
It's a pity d drummer is no where to be found around d drum...and it's taking time!
The statue of the Sato drum and it's drummer is an insignia to behold..it tells u u have arrived in Badagry..We need to bring back the glory by getting d collapsed structure upright! We from d Core Ogu know how destructive this neglect can bring to the town..it's been a structure to behold..it's a deity..let all d sons and daughters of Ogu stand up to d rebirth of this....
All d negatives this can bring will be averted by Jiwheyewhe!!
I'm devoting myself,if u love this town let's form a common front to actualize this financially to bring back our Symbolic Drum and it's drummer to life again!
We will survive! Badagry will grow beyond our dreams!"

It's time for everyone of us to come together to promote our culture and traditions.

    Well said my brother.
We the sons and daughters need to come together and really talk about the development of this town.
If we fail on this clarion call, we shall be blamed and coming generations will not forgive us.
Let us be cautious of the drive to erode our cultural heritage so that non indigenous can have overriding privileges in the division.
Let us wake up to our responsibilities else outsiders will take advantage of our negligence and enslave us.
    Gunnuvi me fon!
